My account

This page is about your own Mitogen account: your name, how you sign in to the console, the security code, the assistants connected to your account, and deleting the account.

Your accounts on tools (mailbox, Odoo, files) are managed elsewhere, in Your connections. Anything that concerns the whole team (tools, invites, seats) is in Run the workspace.

To open this page, click your name in the console, then My account.

Your identity

You can change your first and last name. Your sign-in address is shown just below; it cannot be changed from this page.

Language and time zone are set on the same page.

Confirm your email address

If the console asks you to, confirm your address before you invite someone or connect a tool. You receive a link by email, valid for 24 hours. If you sign in with Microsoft, your address is confirmed at the same time.

Microsoft and the password

There are two ways into the console: with your Microsoft account, if your Mitogen account is linked to it, or with a password. The Sign-in section of My account (not to be confused with the Connections page for your tools) shows which ones are already set up.

If you sign in with Microsoft, nothing is missing. A password is then just a backup way in, alongside Microsoft.

Create a backup password

If there is no password yet, click Backup password, type it, then confirm it. The Show button under each field lets you check what you typed. The password must be at least 12 characters, and a very common password is refused.

Change your password

If you already have a password and know it, enter the current one, then the new one, and click Change password. (If you have forgotten it, see the next section.)

Changing the password signs out your other sessions. Your connected assistants will have to be connected again. Your security code stays in place.

Remove the password

The Remove the password button only appears if you can also sign in with Microsoft. The password goes away, the security code is turned off with it, and you keep signing in with Microsoft.

Forgotten password

  1. On the sign-in screen, click New password.
  2. Enter your address, then click Continue.
  3. The page tells you that, if an account exists, a link has been sent. The field and the button disappear: that is expected. Check your inbox.
  4. Open the link, which is valid for one hour. Enter the new password and confirm it. If your security code is already on, the page also asks for the current code before saving.
  5. Sign in again with the new password.

If you ask for another link, it replaces the previous one, which stops working. If the page says the link is no longer valid, don't type a password: click Email a new link.

After the reset, all your sessions are closed, including any Microsoft session, and your assistants will have to be connected again. Your security code stays on.

The security code

The security code is the six-digit code from an Authenticator app on your phone. You may also know it as OTP, 2FA or MFA. It protects access to the console when you sign in with a password. If you sign in with Microsoft, it is never asked for, even if you also have a password.

For the owner and admins, the code is required as soon as they use a password: the console won't open until it has been added. My account then shows The code is on., and there is no button to turn it off.

For a member, the code is optional. If they added it, they can remove it with Turn the code off, by entering the current code.

To add the code:

  1. Scan the square with your authenticator app, or type the secret by hand.
  2. Enter the six digits the app shows.
  3. Ten backup codes appear, only once. Write them down and keep them somewhere safe.

If you lost your phone

Your code is on, but you no longer have the app. Here is how to get back in:

  1. Sign out of the console.
  2. Sign back in with your password, not with Microsoft.
  3. On the screen that asks for the code, click Email a link to turn the code off.
  4. Open the link you receive by email, valid for 24 hours. It turns the code off.
  5. If you are an owner or admin, add a new code before the console opens again.

This only works from the sign-in screen: it is not available in My account, nor during a Microsoft session.

Connected assistants

This section lists the assistants connected to your Mitogen account, one row per connector name. Disconnect cuts off that assistant's access; Disconnect all cuts them all off. The Mitogen icon stays visible in the assistant: that is expected, because the disconnection happens on Mitogen's side.

Open first lets you choose between Grok, ChatGPT, Claude and Mistral, even if one of them is not connected right now. Choosing doesn't open any window: it simply sets which assistant opens first when you open a case, for example from Capture.

Delete your account

  1. Click Delete the account. The screen warns you that this is final.
  2. Type your sign-in address to confirm.

The button does not appear in two cases:

If a subscription is still running, the page gives you a date: your account will be deleted on that day. Cancel deletion only cancels the account deletion; the subscription still ends on that date. To keep the subscription, open Billing, then Keep subscription. That also cancels the account deletion, and the screen confirms it.

If there is no date and you find yourself back at the sign-in screen, your account has already been deleted.

Your data at Microsoft, in Odoo or elsewhere stays where it is. The admin consent given to Microsoft is not withdrawn.
