Connect Mitogen to your assistant
This is the only step you do by hand. You add Mitogen as a connector in your assistant (Grok, ChatGPT, Claude or Mistral), once. From then on, you work in your tools from that assistant, under the rules set for your workspace.
The address to paste
Whichever assistant you use, the address is the same:
https://mitogen.ai/mcpYou can give the connector any name you like. "Mitogen" works perfectly well.
When you authorize it, a Mitogen page opens in your browser and asks which workspace to connect the assistant to. Pick the one shown at the top of your console: that is where your connections live.
With Grok
- Open grok.com/connectors ↗.
- Click New Connector, then choose Custom.
- Paste the address above.
- Authorize Mitogen on the page that opens, choosing the right workspace.

With ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins.
- Click the + button, then Add custom MCP server. Give it a name.
- Under Connection, paste the address above.
- Tick I understand and want to continue, then click Create as a plugin.
- Authorize Mitogen on the page that opens, choosing the right workspace.
In a ChatGPT business account, your administrator must also have given you the Create plugins with MCPs permission.

With Claude
- In Claude, open Customize > Connectors.
- Click Add, hover over Custom, then choose Web.
- Enter a name, paste the address above, then click Continue.
- Click Add, then authorize Mitogen on the page that opens, choosing the right workspace.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise account, the account owner adds the connector first, in Organization settings > Connectors.

So Claude can send files
When Claude creates a file (a spreadsheet, a chart, a document) and you want it to drop that file into an email or into SharePoint through Mitogen, Claude needs permission to reach Mitogen from its workspace. By default, Claude blocks access to sites it doesn't know.
- On an individual account (Free, Pro, Max), open Settings > Capabilities, turn on Create and edit files (or Code execution and file creation, depending on your version), then Allow network egress.
- On a Team or Enterprise account, the owner takes care of it in Organization settings > Capabilities. They choose Allow network egress to package managers and specific domains, then add the domain of the Mitogen address pasted above to the list.

With Mistral
- Open chat.mistral.ai/connections ↗.
- Click New custom connector.
- Give it a name. Under Server, paste the address above. Leave Authentication on Automatic detection.
- Click Add connector, then authorize Mitogen on the page that opens, choosing the right workspace.
Sharing Mitogen with your team
If your company uses a team plan for its assistant (Grok Business, ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, Claude Team or Enterprise, Mistral), the principle is the same everywhere:
- An administrator of the assistant adds Mitogen once, for the whole company, with the same address:
https://mitogen.ai/mcp - Each colleague then finds it in their own assistant and authorizes it with their own Mitogen account. Nobody uses someone else's account: everyone keeps their own rights, and the register knows who did what.
With an individual plan there is no sharing: each person adds Mitogen themselves, following the steps above.
The admin screens of these assistants change often. Rather than copy them here, we point you to their official guides:
- Grok Business: Connector Management ↗. The administrator adds the connector in the xAI console, then each member connects at grok.com/connectors.
- ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu: Connecting custom MCP servers in ChatGPT ↗. An admin or owner creates and publishes the connector for the workspace, then members find it under Settings > Plugins.
- Claude Team and Enterprise: Custom connectors using remote MCP ↗. The owner adds the connector in Organization settings > Connectors, then each member connects it in Customize > Connectors.
- Mistral: MCP connectors ↗. An administrator adds the connector in Connectors, with New custom connector and the same address. Each member then authorizes it with their own Mitogen account.
What next?
Your assistant is connected. Two things remain, and they are often already done for you:
- If you are a team member, link your own accounts (your mailbox, Odoo…) in Your connections. Mitogen always acts with your own rights, never with someone else's.
- If you run the workspace, first open the tools for the team in Tools. Your colleagues can then link their accounts.
